Overview
A page for notes on building a copy of the FabScan Laser Scanner detailed here: http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Arduino-3D-Laser-Scanner, and originally from our friends at RWTH Aachen, http://hci.rwth-aachen.de/fabscan.
Nov 29th thoughts (from Slack) Doug L and Jim L are hoping to build it with an rPi2.
Which model is which?
There's apparently at least three different models:
- FabScan original http://hci.rwth-aachen.de/fabscan
- Has laser cut files in CDR format (CorelDraw)
- FabScan Pi: http://hci.rwth-aachen.de/fabscanpi
- http://hci.rwth-aachen.de/fabscanpi_hardware says that it uses the FabScan CUBE case
- FabScan CUBE. http://hci.rwth-aachen.de/fabscancube
- Case files are in visicut format. Graham will contact Rene Bohne and try to get them in some other format
